Our Story
The MIND Foundation didn’t start as a theory. It started as a pattern — the same traits, showing up over and over, that separated people who moved forward from people who stalled out. Everything we’ve built since is an attempt to name that pattern and put it to work.
Founder Michael R. Frazier spent 39 years in talent acquisition and industrial-organizational psychology, including more than two decades owning and operating a staffing firm in Augusta, Georgia. That vantage point — watching thousands of people succeed or stall in real jobs, under real pressure — became the raw material for everything The MIND Foundation now teaches, measures, and publishes.
The Foundation formally converted from a for-profit venture into a Georgia nonprofit corporation, with its Certificate of Incorporation issued in 2026. What didn’t change in that conversion was the mission: psychological readiness is learnable, measurable, and worth building deliberately — whether the person in front of us is a hiring manager’s top candidate or a teenager who has never once been told they have agency over their own life.
The Foundation’s work is also part of 3088th — a broader civic and literary project housed in Augusta’s historic 308 Eighth Street building, alongside the Six Unmeasurables library and the Tee It Up For Kids initiative.
